Costa
Del Sol
The
sunshine coast of southern Spain is home to a string of
superb resorts boasting miles of wide sandy beaches, fabulous
shops and restaurants and excellent sporting and leisure
activities. I also has some of the best year round weather
in Europe which probably explains why it has remained
one of the most popular places to buy for decades.
Stretching
200km along Europes southernmost coast from the
Straits of Gibraltar in the west to Nerja in the East,
the Costa del Sol is close to some of Spains most
treasured cities including Seville, Granada and Ronda
and some spectacularly pretty countryside. This coast
has been a magnet for stars since the 1960s and now stars
like Antonio Banderas, and celebrity couple Posh &
Becks, are frequenting the colourful waterside restaurants
and shops.
World
Class Homes
Has an impressive range of properties on the Golden
Mile from frontline villas, apartments and penthouses
to rustic town houses in stunning Andalusian villages.
Close to Puerto Banus in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca
Mountains Taylor Woodrows Los Arqueros Golf &
Country Club continues to attract interest. Set in 250
acres, the superb properties range from spacious apartments,
penthouses and townhouses to stunning detached villas.
The centrepiece is the excellent golf course designed
by Seve Ballesteros.
New
Golden Mile
On the New Golden Mile between Marbella and
Estepona, there are many luxurious beach side apartments
and penthouses. Many have jacuzzis and sound systems as
standard and are set in landscaped gardens with waterfalls,
lakes and pools. There are excellent air connections between
the UK and Malaga airport, a short drive from Marbella.
Gibraltar and jerez airports are also within easy reach.
Marbella
The
sun Coasts capital Marbella, extend for over 10
miles into the shadow of the Sierra Blanca. The old town
centre is enchanting with squares graced by orange groves
and peppered with excellent restaurants. A number of 5-star
hotels have opened in the last few years and other projects
recently completed include the largest safari park in
Europe, the Selwo and the Escuela de Arte Ecuestre
Costa del Sol, featuring spectacular displays by
thoroughbred Andalucian horses. There are other sporting
activities on the doorstep including around 50 splendid
golf courses and Soto Grande, Europes leading leisure,
sporting and residential resort.
